1 Gustaf Börjesson (July 30, 1849 - March 23, 1913) was baptized on 31 July1849, a day after he was born at Björketorp, Älvsborg, Sweden His mother was thirty-five years old at the time. Household members other than Gustaf were Anna Andersdotter, presumably his mother, and Börjes Ericksson, presumably his father.

On 5 April 1870 Gustaf was traveling. He left Göteborgs och Bohus Björketorp, Sweden for Denmark. He was recorded as being a farmhand (Dräng). Gustaf moved 1870 to Denmark and later to Hamburg, Germany where he had job in a factory. In 1874 he was member of a German church through believer's baptism followed by water baptism. He then moved directly to Göteborg (Gothenburg) in Sweden.

His first job in Göteborg was in a mechanical workshop and later from 1878 he had a shop with 'egg and wild animals'. Later his son David was included and took over the business.

Gustaf married Emma Augusta Bohman (December 20, 1843 - May 21, 1923) on October 24, 1880.

This was the second wedding of Emma as she was previously married to Carl Ahlbom (1880 – 1923).

Emma was born in Näs, Skallsjö, Älvsborgs län (province), Sweden. She was first married to Carl Ahlbom. They had four children (1870 – 1875). When Carl died in 1875 she married Gustaf Börjesson and had five more children (1881 – 1889). Six of the children lived into adulthood.

Emma was a strong woman and became a baptist in the end of the 1850 after having smallpox, and was healthy after a hospital visit.

Emma died in 1923 at Göteborgs Annedal, Göteborg och Bohus.

1.1 David Gideon [Gustafsson] Börjesson (October 20, 1881 - January 29, 1963) married Ester (Johannesdotter, Hansdotter) Schenlund (4 August 1883 - January 10, 1962). David's place of birth was Gustavi in Göteborg, Göteborg och Bohus län, Sweden.

Ester was born in Göteborgs Gustavi (Domkyrkoförsamling), Göteborg och Bohus (Västra Götaland), Sweden. Her parents were Johannes Hans Schenlund and Matilda Charlotta Carlsson.

David had a store, AB David Börjesson Konsthandel (an art dealer's shop) that was started in 1935. The shop later passed to his son, Pelle Börjesson, and later to his two grandsons. Later the family sold the business. The shop still exists in middle of Göteborg.

1.1.1 Sven David Emanuel Börjesson (August 6, 1905 – December 20, 1970) was a teacher in biology. He married in 1945 to ????. They had three children with own children.

Three newspaper articles (in Swedish) about Sven Börjesson were handed down in the family through Oscar Rinell to Lennart Holmquist. These articles are about Sven's life (memory words) from his first baptism mission in north Scandinavia in his young years to his help for the Swedish Mission in Korea from about 1964.

1.1.2 Per Olof Gustaf Johannes [Pelle] Börjesson (January 9, 1907 - August 11, 1969). Pelle was born in Göteborgs Masthuggs, Göteborg och Bohus (Västra Götaland), Sweden.

Pelle had diabetes and took insulin injections his entire life. Yet he gradually become blind and later died of it at 62 years of age. (Information provided by Bo Svartholm).

Pelle married Brita Anna Cecilia Palmqvist (February 19, 1908 - August 13, 1972) in 1938. They had three children, Staffan, Torgils and Klas.

1.1.3 Kerstin Elisabeth Börjesson (May 20, 1908 – March 14, 2004) married Gösta Toreskog (March 8, 1907 – October 27, 2002). They lived in Härnösand in north of Sweden.

Kerstin used to keep in contact with her cousin in the UK Golda (Ahlbom) Gilroy, and visited Golda in the UK a few times.

Kerstin and Gösta had four children, one of them being Marie-Louise Toreskog.

1.1.4 Ester Ingegerd Börjesson (March 27, 1911 – April 6, 1997 ) married Nils Fridolf Valdemar Svartholm (January 28, 1913 – January 25, 1999). Ingegerd and Nils were both born in Falkenberg.

Nils were a scientist in atom and nuclear physics, and a professor in Chalmers Technical University in Göteborg (Gothenburg).

Sweden. Cousins Lennart Holmquist and his mother Doris (Rinell) Holmquist visited the family in Falkenberg at one time.

Ingegerd used to keep in contact with her cousin in the UK Golda (Ahlbom) Gilroy over the years.

Ester and Nils had three children: Bo, Ingegerd Elisabeth (Bettan) and Olle.

1.2 Anna Emilia Börjesson (July 7, 1883 – January 17, 1885).

1.3 Anna Elleonora Börjesson (April 1, 1885 – February 21, 1892).

1.4 Ester Maria Börjesson (January 17, 1887 - August 11, 1972). Ester was a nurse.

1.4 Erik Natanel Börjesson (October 24, 1889 - December 17, 1956).
