Ambrose Day (c1793 - July 14, 1853) married Mary Polly Tapp (c1804 - c1872) on October 1, 1823 in Person County, North Carolina. Mary and Ambrose were both born in North Carolina. In 1830 they were still living in Person, North Carolina, but by 1850 or earlier, they were living in District 2, Hopkins, Kentucky, USA. Ambrose's occupation is given as 'farmer'

Subsequently, many members of the Day family are buried in Kentucky. We found two locations for Day burials so far. One is the Day Cemetery near Slaughters, in Webster County, Kentucky, which is adjacent to Hopkins County, and at least one Day burial at the Winstead Cemetery about five minutes drive from the Winstead Cemetery. See map with GPS coordinates.
